Children are very protective of their toys. They sleep with dolls, tenderly hold certain items as if they were made of glass (and thank goodness they’re not) and protect that which they hold dear.
In some cases, I know parents that have bought duplicates of a much beloved toy on the off chance it might get lost or damaged.
I don’t suppose you’ve done that with your boat or motorcycle, your adult “toys” if you will ☺️
Plain and simple, insurance is protection and a financial safety net that can assist if one of your “toys” gets damaged or stolen. And, it’s not only getting insurance, the key to peace of mind is making certain you have the right coverage.

Boats, motorcycles, and expensive bikes can cost thousands of dollars to purchase. If one of these items is damaged or stolen, it can be a significant financial loss. Insurance coverage can help offset these costs and protect your investment in the event of an accident or theft.
If you’re not already convinced, here are a few other reasons why insuring your recreational vehicle (i.e., boats, motorcycles, expensive bikes) makes good sense:
Liability Coverage: Liability coverage is an essential part of any insurance policy for recreational vehicles like boats and motorcycles. If you are involved in an accident and found to be at fault, liability coverage can help pay for any damages or injuries caused to other people or property. Without liability coverage, you could be held financially responsible for these expenses, which can be incredibly costly.

Peace of Mind: Knowing that you have insurance coverage for your recreational vehicles can provide peace of mind. Accidents can happen at any time, and insurance can help ensure that you are financially protected in the event of an unexpected incident.
Review your coverage options with your insurance agent. There are many different types of insurance coverage available for recreational vehicles. Additionally, some policies may include optional coverage for accessories like custom parts or gear. By exploring your insurance options, you can find a policy that meets your specific needs and budget.
